Year 11

As the culmination of their time at Maharishi Free School, Year 11 is a time of achievement.

Academically, pupils complete their GCSE courses including coursework for their final GCSE examinations which start in May.

It is a time of excitement when speakers from local sixth form colleges come in to talk to the pupils as well as pupils visiting these colleges to get a taste of life after Maharishi Free School.

Teachers at our local sixth form colleges have commented that you can tell Maharishi School pupils because they smile and talk to you!

The theme of this year is fulfilled by enlivening the pupils’ physiology and psychology to enable them to develop and live the fullness of life: contentment, success and freedom from mistakes.

Before they go on study-leave prior to their GCSE examinations there is a leavers’ assembly, which is both inspiring and heartwarming.

Good wishes are made by other pupils in the school which reflect upon success and shared enjoyment. This embodies the fundamental themes of Maharishi School:

  • The World is my family
  • We are here to enjoy
  • The nature of life is bliss
  • The purpose of life is the expansion of happiness

With the growth of integrated brain functioning the pupils are prepared for a life of continual success and happiness which enables them to be an influence for good in their family, nation and the whole world.
