Cliff Yates is Deputy Head and teacher of English at Maharishi School.

During his time as Poetry Society poet-in-residence Cliff wrote "Jumpstart - Poetry in the Secondary School" (published by the Poetry Society) .

His collection of poems "Henry's Clock" won the Aldeburgh prize. He has received an Arts Council England Writer’s Award.

He has run courses and workshops for the Poetry Society, NATE, the British Council, NAGTY, the Arvon Foundation, schools, colleges and in Higher Education.
