Ofsted Inspections
Maharishi Free School is delighted to announce that following its Ofsted inspection on 8–9 July 2025, the school has been judged Good in all areas:
- Quality of education
- Behaviour and attitudes
- Personal development
- Leadership and management
- Early years provision
Inspectors highlighted the school’s nurturing environment, where “pupils are extremely well cared for” and praised the strong pastoral support, mutual respect between staff and pupils, and the wide range of opportunities available across the primary and secondary phases.
From sporting events and music-making to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, pupils are encouraged to flourish both academically and personally. The report also notes that “pupils are prepared well for their next steps in education, employment or training”.
Headteacher Lisa Edwards said:
“We are so proud of our pupils, staff and families. This report recognises the hard work, care and commitment that define Maharishi Free School. Together, we are building a strong, happy and successful learning community.”
Chair of Governors Dr Ian Birnbaum OBE added:
“The Governing Body is delighted with this report. It reflects the dedication of staff, the support of parents, and the unique ethos that makes our school such a special place.”
